Dear Superstar Families,
Thank you for sharing your precious children with me. I am so excited to have them join second grade this year and become part of our class! Second grade will be filled with lots of learning, fun, laughter and great memories. Throughout our time together, we will have many opportunities to grow as individuals and as a class. We will make mistakes along the way, but through effort and perseverance we can reach our full potential. This is why I have a passion for what I do! We each have unique qualities, gifts, talents and learning styles. My hope is to create an environment where each student feels safe and nurtured so that they can be successful. It is my expectation that we will challenge ourselves to embrace the learning process rather than simply focus on the end result. I'm looking forward to our never-ending journey of learning!
I’d like to take this time to share a little bit about myself. I grew up in the Panhandle of Texas and graduated with Honors from Texas Tech University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Minor in English. I have a total of eighteen years classroom experience. I taught in Lubbock ISD and Sharyland ISD before coming to Laurel Mountain. I celebrated my 18th anniversary with my husband Toby this past March. We have two precious boys: Jack who is 16 and Ben who is 12. This will be Ben's second year at CVMS and Jack's third year at Westwood. Where does the time go?
This is going to be a wonderful year! I really believe that communication between school and home is very important and valuable; so if you ever have questions for me, please don’t hesitate to email or call: [email protected] 512-464-4361.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Fox
